In 1973 and 74, organized the NBBO (Nederlandse Blues en Boogie Woogie Organisatie) some blues evenings in the Kazimirhal in Amstelveen, Netherlands
Homesick James (April 30, 1910[1][2] – December 13, 2006)[3] was an American blues musician known for his mastery of the slide guitar. He recorded covers of “Stones in My Passway” and “Homesick”. He worked with his cousin, Elmore James, and with Sonny Boy Williamson II.[4] His birth name is variously reported as John William Henderson,[5] James Williams,[1] or James Williamson.[6]

“Whispering” Smith (January 25, 1932 – April 28, 1984)[2] was an American blues harmonicist and singer.[2] He recorded tracks including “A Thousand Miles from Nowhere” and “Texas Flood”, and worked with both Lightnin’ Slim and Silas Hogan. He was inducted into the Louisiana Blues Hall of Fame.[2]
Lightning Slim Otis Verries Hicks,[1] known as Lightnin’ Slim (March 13, 1913 – July 27, 1974) was an African-American Louisiana blues musician,[2] who recorded for Excello Records and played in a style similar to its other Louisiana artists. Blues critic ED Denson has ranked him as one of the five great bluesmen of the 1950s, along with Muddy Waters, Little Walter, Howlin’ Wolf and Sonny Boy Williamson.[citation needed]

Washboard Willie William Paden Hensley (July 24, 1906[1] or 1909 – August 24, 1991),[2] known as Washboard Willie, was an American Detroit blues musician, who specialised in playing the washboard. He recorded tracks including “A Fool on a Mule in the Middle of The Road” plus “Cherry Red Blues”, and worked variously with Eddie “Guitar” Burns, Baby Boy Warren, and Boogie Woogie Red.[2]
